The FCAA is responsible for administering: 

•  Saskatchewan’s The Pension Benefits Act, 1992 (the Act).
  • With a few exceptions, the Act applies to employer-sponsored pension plans to which Saskatchewan residents are members.
•  The pension laws of other jurisdictions, in cases where a plan is registered in Saskatchewan and has members from outside the province.
•  The Pooled Registered Pension Plans (Saskatchewan ) Act.
  • However, pursuant to an agreement with the Government of Canada and several provincial governments, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI), a federal body, is responsible for the regulation and supervision of Pooled Registered Pension Plans (PRPPs), including those which provide benefits to Saskatchewan residents.
